V3 launches 1 March 2027 · Sales reopen on launch day

On the console

Built and tested on real productions. You start from a working structure instead of an empty file.

Running in under 30 minutes

Patch your fixtures, assign your groups, run the setup. Layouts, colors and FX are on the executors.

Every group fully built

12 intensity FX, 10 position FX, 10 multi FX and 16 positions per group, plus a color picker for each.

Built on cue recipes

Every look is built from your groups and presets. A new rig only needs a new patch. You don’t need to know recipes to use it.

Make it yours

Rename things and add your own content. Macros never touch your sequences, the structure stays intact.

Your license on a USB stick

A compatible USB stick holds your license. Your show opens and plays back without it. Only the setup tools and plugins need the stick, which is what makes a copied file useless to anyone else.

Console and onPC

Runs on grandMA3 consoles and grandMA3 onPC. Prepare at home, play at the venue.

Switching to MA3

Coming from grandMA2?

The showfile covers the parts of MA3 that feel new. You learn the console on a working show.

Effects
In MA3 they are phasers. You get intensity, position and multi FX for every group without building a single one.
Cue recipes
New in MA3 and already set up. You get the benefit without building them yourself.
Getting started
Load the showfile, patch your rig, start busking. The setup walkthrough shows every step on the console.

What’s a fixture group? One fully built layer of the showfile: FX, positions, colors and executors for one fixture type. Any number of fixtures per group.

Upgrading later? You pay the difference, get a new showfile and move your programming over. The upgrade video shows how. If you plan bigger shows, start in the tier you’ll grow into.

FAQ

Getting started

I’m new to grandMA3. Is the showfile too much for me?

No. You start from a working show instead of an empty file, and the setup walkthrough takes you through every step. LITE covers the essentials, and you can upgrade anytime for the difference.

Which tier do I need for my rig?

Count your fixture types. Each type gets its own fixture group: LITE has 4, PRO 6, ULTRA 8. Song-based shows with setlists and timecode need ULTRA. Not sure? Ask us in the support chat.

I’m coming from grandMA2. Where do I start?

With the showfile itself. Effects, cue recipes and layouts are already built the MA3 way, and you learn the console on a working show. Load it, patch your rig and follow the setup walkthrough.

Does it run on grandMA3 onPC?

Yes. The showfile runs on grandMA3 consoles and on grandMA3 onPC.

Which USB sticks work for activation?

Activation needs a compatible USB stick. Supported today: SanDisk [models, list from Max]. More manufacturers follow step by step. Want to use a different stick? Ask support and we check it. For security reasons we may turn down some manufacturers and no-name sticks.

Activation is permanent. Use a stick that stays with your console. Lost or broken? Support adds a slot. Activation needs internet, once per stick and once per new version. Your show runs offline.

What happens if my stick is missing during a show?

Your show keeps running. The showfile opens and plays back without the stick. Only the setup tools and plugins need it, which means layout changes and the bigger tools wait until it’s back.

Can I use my own fixture types?

Yes. You patch your own fixtures and assign them to the groups. The demo patch is only a starting point.

General

I own Showfile V2. What do I get with V3?

Bought V2 on or after 1 March 2026? V3 in the same tier is free for you. Bought earlier? You move to V3 at a launch price until 30 April. From 1 March, claim your V2 with your email and Digistore24 order number. That creates your account, and from there you move to V3, free or at your upgrade price.

Can I upgrade to a higher tier later, e.g. PRO → ULTRA?

Yes. You pay the difference between the two tiers, get a new showfile and move your programming over. The upgrade video shows how.

Is the Bitmap Collection included?

Yes, with V3 ULTRA and ULTRA MAX, permanently. That holds whether you buy the tier, upgrade to it or get it free as a V2 owner. With LITE or PRO you can add it separately.

How long do I get free updates?

At least one year. If a new major version comes out within 12 months of your purchase, you get it in your tier for free. We want the showfile to last, and we won’t release a new major version every year. See the License Agreement for the full terms.

Who can use one license, and on how many consoles?

Your license is personal. It covers one person or one company and includes two activations, for example your main and your backup console. Need more sticks for your team? Add another license. This applies to every tier.

Can I get a refund?

You get the download right away. At checkout you agree to immediate delivery, which ends the right of withdrawal. Not sure the showfile fits your setup? Ask us before you buy. Full terms: Refund Policy, Terms of Use and License Agreement.

Technical

How do I set up the Template Showfile for a new stage layout?

Three steps: adapt your patch, adapt your groups, update your presets. That is the whole workflow. The YouTube tutorial shows each step.

Can I delete all fixtures from the patch?

Yes. The file is not a clone show. Replace fixtures, keep your standard presets, or wipe everything and start from scratch. The structure stays.

Can I add my own content?

Yes. The Template Showfile is built on cue recipes and a playback master structure. Macros never touch your sequences. Change it as you like.
